1. Already have an adoption home study:

Can you please complete the Home Evaluation and submit it to [email protected] with a copy of your approved home study at your earliest convenience. Once received, I will forward to the Safe Children Coalition, the agency that oversees the placement of every child in the foster care system in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties. Please allow for ample time for home study reviews as many inquiries have been received. The case manager will be contacting you. Thank you again, and we look forward to hearing from you.

2. Do not have an adoption home study:
Thank you so much for your inquiry on the Heart Gallery of Sarasota. So you know, the Safe Children Coalition oversees the placement of every child who enters the foster care system in Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto counties. Unfortunately, at this time the case management team is only seeking out families who have an approved adoption home study. If you are still interested in adoption, please contact your local Community Based Care agency for information to get started. Once your home study is submitted via our site or directly to the SCC, a case manager will contact you.

3. Do not have a home study and reside in Sarasota, Manatee or DeSoto:

Thank you for your interest in adoption. As promised, here is my follow up email with the information needed in moving forward with the adoption process. The first step in to attend one of the informational meetings. Please send an email to [email protected] if you would like to attend and we will let you know the dates and times.

The meeting will take about an hour and a half up to two hours. This meeting will only cover adoption. At this meeting you will be given paperwork that will need to be filled out timely. This paperwork will get you registered for our Adoptive Parent Training Class. The classes are 8 weeks long from 6-9pm. You will be given the specific start date once you are registered to start.

Once you complete the meeting and classes, you will then be able to have your adoption home study completed. Once completed and approved, case management will be in contact with you if they feel that you are a good match for one of their children.
